CFC Gender and Development Celebrates Woman’s Month: Women’s Empowerment

The National Women’s Month Celebration 2022 (NWMC) conduce to highlight how women’s competence changes the world, gender equality, and focus on the progress empowering women. With the theme, “WE MAKE CHANGE WORK FOR WOMEN” since in 2017 and up to the present, the Inter-Agency Technical Working Group and PCW Board Members distinguished about the NWMC views where they emphasized the empowerment of our women as the vigorous benefactress of development. It also affixes on the fidelity of “Malasakit at Pagbabago” or True Compassion and Real Change. Proclamation No. 227 stated that “Providing for the observance of March as Women’s Role in History Month” has been signed by President Corazon C. Aquino on March 17, 1988. It has asserted that reinforcing with the earlier proclamation, emphasizing the function of Filipino women in the economy, culture, social, and political progress was throughout antiquity.

The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) blundered on women’s apprehension that acts as incendiary in gender capacity and forefront advocate of women’s empowerment. The area focuses on the Woman Priority Legislative Agenda, Gender-Responsive Governance, Violence Against Women and Women’s Economic Empowerment, and Leadership and Political participation. To wrap up women’s empowerment in our country, the government adopted the magna Carna of Women to promote the right of women and eliminate all forms of discrimination against women’s committees and the international covenant. Enlightenment with this, Cronasia Foundation College, Inc. also celebrates Women’s Month this March of 2022 by featuring the women or ladies in the institution committed with credibility and competitive perspectives.
