Teachers educate and instill values to the lives of their students which aid in the development of their self-esteem and social consciousness. World Teacher’s Day observed annually on the 5th of October to honor all teachers around the globe. It commemorates the anniversary of the adoption of the 1966 ILO/ UNESCO recommendation concerning the status of teachers, which sets benchmarks regarding the rights and responsibilities of teachers, and standards for their initial preparation and further education, recruitment, employment, and teaching and learning conditions. As an academic institution, Cronasia Foundation College, Inc. takes part in this annual celebration of the World Teachers’ Day or National Teachers’ Month with the theme, “Gurong Filipino: Katuwang sa Hamon. Kasama sa Pagbangon.”
On the 6th day of October, 2021 Wednesday the school conducted several activities for the CFCI teachers to participate and enjoy. These activities were the TikTok competition, Hugot Guro contest, and the most anticipated Cosplay event. For TikTOK competition. For Hugot Guro contest, all teachers have provided their individual Hugot entries but at the end of this contest, 5 teachers were chosen as winners though the highest number of Facebook reactions, Ms. Joan Espinosa, Ms. Charissa Behiga, Ms. Jenice Palma, Mr. Renz Gortisano and Mr. Salvador Titong. For the Cosplay contest, all teachers wre dressed up according to their preferred and loved anime characters or heroes. Ten teachers were chosen but only 5 teachers hailed as winners. At the end of this contest, Ms. Clisalie Cara Bacalso, Ms. Aenlee Faith Jirah, Ms. Jellian Gallego, Mr. Renz Gortisano and Ms. Lovely Mahinay came to be as cosplay winners.
Although this event was held physically, the school still ensures that the safety measures and protocols for COVID-19 were observed and strictly followed through the implementation of social distancing, wearing of facemask, and face shield throughout the said event.
